Art Sales Consultant
Well-established, multiple-award-winning gallery in North Tahoe is looking for a part-time sales person to sell
photographic art.
You will work in an exquisite gallery with vibrant people in an outstanding location. The ideal candidate has a
proven track record in sales including understanding people, engaging their emotional connection to making
a purchase, and delivering the best solution(s) to meet their needs and lifestyle.
We are looking for someone with a strong team mentality who is enthusiastic, mature, polished, con dent,
engaging, motivated, honest and dependable. A Four-year college degree, professional demeanor along with
superior communication and writing skills is a must.
Being a Tahoe-based business producing outdoor-focused ne art, we are also looking for someone who is
established in Tahoe and has a passion for the mountains, travel and the wonders of nature.
Compensation is an hourly base plus commissions. Base pay will be commensurate with past sales experience.
Responsibilities include:
• demonstration of professional sales techniques and meeting quotas
• retail merchandising & display
• memorize Artist collections, Gallery media and product options
• ability to manage a wide range of customer interactions
• custom problem-solving to meet client needs
• ability to consult and advise on custom design services
• client management
• retail store opening and closing duties assist with gallery maintenance and art installations
• inventory management
• lifting up to 30 pounds on occasion fl exible hours - a mix of mid-week, weekend and some Holidays
• attend and assist at Gallery events
• must be detailed and precise; must optimize use of time
• demonstrate knowledge of Tahoe and SF Bay Area demographics
